I'm originally from Colorado. I received my Bachelor's degree and my teaching credential at the University of Northern Colorado. I, then, attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I taught undergraduate classes and I received a Master's degree in Spanish Linguistics.

Following my graduation, I decided to head West to discover a new world! I settled in San Diego and began teaching in the San Diego Unified School District. I taught Spanish and English at Correia Junior High School in Point Loma. After several years of teaching, I was selected to be an administrative intern where I worked at Taft Middle School.

After my internship, I received my administrative credential from the University of San Diego. Before being appointed principal at Marshall Middle in January 2008, I have been a vice principal at Roosevelt Middle School, principal at Lewis Middle School and Pacific Beach Middle.

I was married in the summer of 2002. My husband, Scott, and I live in Point Loma. Scott and I enjoy riding bikes, going to the beach, gardening and camping!
